I made an Easter card for my granddaughter, Mackenzie. I always love it when Bugaboo is our sponsor because they have some of the greatest digis ever!! I just love the little Ava Easter that I chose. Make Your Own Flower Challenge

I really like making my own flowers and need to do it more often. Thanks to Scrapbook Blessings Club I got to make a few flowers this weekend. If you go to the Scrapbook Blessing Club page you will see that my tip for this challenge is to make up flowers from your scrap paper, now if I would just listen to my own advice...lol. Our sponsor for this challenge is Scrapping For Less and one lucky winner can win some flowers.

This cute little digi is from Scrapbook Stamp Society by artist Sherri Baldy and can be found HERE.
Do yo like those flowers? They are so simple to make because they were cut from a die cut from Spellbinders. I can't tell you what colors that I used for this image because I colored it a while back and have lost my list of colors. The rest of the products I used though were Spellbinders, Bazzill, X press It Blending Card, pattern paper-the Paper Studio, hot pink paper from my stash, Powder Puff Chalk, ColorBox Chalk, pins from my stash, ATG adhesive, Forever in Time foam adhesive and my glue gun.
 I really hope you like this card and will come on over to Scrapbook Blessings Club and enter your handmade flowers into our next challenge. This challenge ends on Saturday, April 19th at 10:00 pm EST.  Also, you can join up to our Facebook group: Scrapbook Blessings Club for more fun, games, inspiration, tips and techniques.
If you do make a project using the featured technique, homemade flower,
your project and blog may be showcased on the SBC Facebook group.

Alphabet M Bestie

I'm back with my finished project from the other day. I was showing you how I took Sherri Baldy's Alphabet Letter M and was adding stickles to her to put in a frame. I've finished it up and I think it has turned out awesome. My granddaughter Mackenzie will love it in her room!! I can't wait to do some more of these. I'm going to apologize to you about the quality of these pictures I just couldn't get them to come out very well. The whole thing just sparkles though. Here she is:

Something different for you today!!

Today at Love to Create Challenge we start another challenge and I did my DT card with a little twist to the main challenge. The challenge is to create a card that is colored inspired. Here is the colors you are to use:

 My first thought was wow pretty colors but what to do with them. Well, it was easy with the digis that we got to choose from our new sponsor Fred She Said Designs. The digi that I chose was Wee Hummingbird and Petunias. This digi comes in one that you color and then they also have a pre-colored digi. I bought one of the pre-colored digis and used it on my card too. See if you can spot it!!
This is my card closed. You can't see the sentiment in this picture but it says Thinking of You.
Here's the card popped out!! Isn't that cute with the hummingbirds looking like they are flying. Once again you can't see the sentiment on the front flap but it says Get Well Soon.
Can you tell which hummingbird I colored and which is the pre colored one? If you guessed that I colored the one on the right you are correct!! The hummingbird on the left I made to look 3d but you can't really see it in this picture. I also colored the petunias with Copics.
 I hope you enjoyed looking at my card this week for Love to Create Challenge and get inspired by those colors and enter your cards in our challenge!!

I used the following products to make this card.Copics: E0000, E35, E39, E55, E71, RV00, RV02, RV11, RV21, RV23, V93, G000, YG03, YG11, YG63, YG67, Xpress It Blending Card, the Paper Studio-Bella Bohemia, Bazzill, K&Company-Butterfly Grand Adhesive, Powder Puff - Mocha Mania, Forever In Time 3-D Pop Dots, ATG Adhesive, Magic Cover Vinyl

The DT was to make a card featuring one of the featured tutorials from the past.. I chose to use the tutorial from March 2, using punches. If you enter your beautiful projects in the challenge for the next week you could possibly win a $12 gift card to A Day for Daisies store!! Since this is the 5th Sunday of the month it's a mini challenge for just 1 week!!

Part 1 M Bestie!

Hmmm... Part 1 you say? Yep this is a two part project. Today I've colored up a cute little digi by Sheri Baldy from Scrapbook Stamp Society. This is from her Alphabet Besties and it's the letter M. (How come I just felt like I was on Sesame Street?...lol)

I've already colored this digi up but I wanted to show you how to give her a little bling without making a mess with glitter!! I love Ranger products called Stickles. I know they have been around for a while but some people are new and haven't heard of them. They are a great product to give your project a little bling!!

I just wanted to give you a little glimpse of it today and show you how you can add some bling!! Come back on March 31 and you can see it totally done and in the frame. If you like the digi it's from Scrapbook Stamp Society by artist Sherri Baldy.

CAS or Elegant is the way to go

First things first, I have to wish my baby a very Happy 12th Birthday!! I love you Kyle!! Ok, now on to the scheduled post!!

This week at Love to Create Challenge the theme is CAS and/or Classy & Elegant. Ok, I'm going to have to admit I have never done a CAS and didn't even know what CAS meant so I had to look it up. According to, Amber Dawn, at Splitcoast Stampers this is the meaning: What is CAS?
CAS is an acronym for Clean and Simple. Below is the reworded definition

It's all about the design.
* not the technique
* not the tools
* not the embellishments

It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point

 So I hope that helps you with making a CAS card!! I really like it and I have a feeling you might be seeing more of them around here. I got to choose a great digi from our sponsor this week Milk Coffee and I love it. I wasn't sure how I was going to make Madeline with Retro Outfit a CAS but I think I succeeded, you tell me!!
The ingredients for this week's card is short and sweet. I used X Press It Blending Card for the digi and Bazzill for the card base. The sentiment is Microsoft Word LTC Kirsten. That's it.
Copics: E000, E00, E11, E15, E18, E93, YR21, YG95, B91, B95, B97, Y17, Y19, Y28, R24, R29, R39, C5, C7, BG70, BG72

I hope you enjoy my card this week and join us in being a little more simple this week with a CAS card!!
